OVERVIEW
Helping Making Cash App feel safe to parents and like a power move for teens
Cash App refreshed its Families product with stronger parental controls, scam protections, and tools that give teens more independence. The goal was to rewrite the full onboarding and engagement flows for two very different audiences: sponsors (parents and guardians) and teens.
THE APPROACH
Parents want to know their kid is safe. Teens want to feel like they're not being watched. The messaging strategy leaned into both: for sponsors, it was about trust positioned as giving their teen real independence. For teens, it was about a money app that fits into their life.
