I’m a poet and brand copywriter based in New York City with 9+ years of experience. I’ve worked across product launches, brand campaigns, and go-to-market messaging for companies like Cash App, Square, and WeWork. I use AI tools like Claude and Cursor in my workflow to move faster without losing what makes writing feel human. Above all, I always think about the person on the other end of every headline, email, and message, and write for them first.
My poetry and nonfiction delve into the recesses of personal and collective identity, exploring themes of race, intergenerational trauma and the search for solace amidst the chaos of existence. Rooted within the fabric of my writing is a profound reverence for the American South and the fragile threads that bind us to our kin.
My work has been published in nationally recognized literary journals including Prairie Schooner, The Baltimore Review, and Bodega Magazine, among other places. I’m the recipient of The Academy of American Poets prize established by John Ashbery.
When I’m not writing, you can find me consuming one too many matcha lattes.
